Leg Press Make Your Butt Bigger

Thomas Prochnow

A walk-wall installation by Thomas Prochnow in the RGB colors (Red - Green - Blue) kept pointing to several interpretations. First, here is a theoretical digression is opened, which refers to the three-color theory, on the other are in the reduced form of presentation parallels to Ellsworth Kelly's color to ascertaining numerical fields, the already experimented in the 1950s and 1960s with the primary colors.
The additive mixing of three primary colors (red, green and blue) leads to the perception of color of all the other colors that can be described by its share of red, green and blue. By means of Prochnow DIN color his own RGB space creates, he goes a step further: The perception of the color space to escape by using standardized color means an individual handwriting, so no painting style is recognizable. Reminiscent of Barnett Newman's sublime Swatches areas in red, green and blue are then taken up in his video work, stringing the ghost images in RGB in the loop. RGB Prochnow opened for the possibility of color and space to rethink and implement in an abstract form of representation in the existing space.
