Can Shingles Be On A Breast

Work Camp - The first few days stopover in Kuala Lumpur

13.07. and 14.07.

Monday:

The first day the work camp was indeed intended for arrival times. My plane was also scheduled at 12:20 local time in Chiang Mai. As Chiang is May, a known tourist destination in Thailand, I thought I could still buy some things there that we need for the work camp and I had not brought along, such as sleeping bag, mosquito net, rain jacket and mat. However, the airport was not so great, and actually I should as soon as possible to the meeting place in Chiang Rai are. So I just took the next taxi in the city and take the first bus to Chiang Rai. Ironically, the cost for the 10 min taxi to the bus stop as much as the 3 hour bus ride to Chiang Rai.

Once there waiting for me already then the 1 Shock when I was walking down the station in search of other participants: a completely wacky, sweaty, constantly chattering, long-haired, scruffy looking pretty busy for the type of something in his oversized backpack. First of all I just went towards WC. But when I came back later, I was sure that that was my group. Still trying to happiness was our Work Camp director and a Dutch To Janneke . But of course the other guy named Niels , also from Holland. We had to turn to two additional participants Wait Alexis from France and Rosa from Spain. When we all had together, we rode on the back of a pickup to an orphanage in an Akha village in the hills. There were already waiting, the other participants who had already been on time at 10:00 at the meeting point. There were Kate and Peter (an older couple in their 60 from Colorado / USA), Melanie , Audrey and Virginie (all from France), Wonmi from Korea, Taylor and Ashley (Vermont, USA) and Max (half German, half American, lives in Holland).

We lived there, split between two huts, one of which was an orphanage and it was there the whole time, a few children from the village to the TV or simply to wait for us to examine . For dinner, then gabs rice with green vegetables and meat (as usual from Taiwan), only slightly less handsome presents * g *. But that was not our final camp site, since the actual site was not accessible in this day because of rain - there is rainy season so we slept the first night relatively early, as it naturally does not really flow or so was!. Our bed was in principle the floor mats and sleeping bags plus possibly brought, in my case my Kuhfleckendecke I'd still get paid at home. But I survived the night.

Tuesday:

was called the next day at 7:00 for the first time, it washing in a cabin (at the same loo). There was just a ton of water and a large spoon with which one could pour the water over the body, as a shower. After breakfast (the same as the dinner plus fried eggs), we had to pack up everything again and invite the two pickups. Then we went to our village. Finally we arrived at the site to which it had the previous day made it impossible to reach the village, a small river with a bridge over adventurous, before and behind it a clay, slippery slope with lots of ruts and potholes. Thus, we had our first project in front of us: bridge repair with fresh planks and chase up a few stones to fill the holes. With a lot of black smoke and a lot of muscle power, we managed to finally push through the two cars.

Next they were about 20 more minutes on worst roads and steep slopes, and often just by using muscle power to our camp-site.

We were then already quite happy to see our really nice bamboo house where we would spend the next few nights. We also had a river nearby, saw it was all a little more open (not so in the woods as the other village) and the Akha people from quite friendly. Thus we obtained in the morning until our place to sleep in it even with fireplace and far larger than the last. The ground was also pleasantly flexible, since everything was built of bamboo.

Full of motivation we started after the Enter the work at once to Tos surprise. First (real) project to dig a swimming pool was in the river and the sand to gather on the square in front of our house for later. Peter took the same command, if that was a good idea is to doubt, however. Basically, we just dug the whole time sand from the river bed, which we then filled into bags and struggle to survive on the muddy, slippery slope upward contributed to the square.

In between times gabs short 'ne lunch. The same was true To us a go, that here in the Akha village would consist of rice every meal, either to gabs cucumbers, greens (which would rather describe as a weed with small spines), tomatoes, cabbage and chicken or pork, fried eggs for breakfast on a regular basis. After lunch, including a one-hour break (from the Akha prescribed, since they hold regularly at this time a nap) we continued our work to dinner. After that we said To plan for the coming days and everyone had to introduce themselves and tell something about yourself. Since then it was dark before we could wash just quickly and go to "bed".
