Free Age Of Empires Expansion Full Version

visiting from Japan - Coco and Chiemi

7th to 13 September

The start to the week showed again the same image as that of the last few weeks: work - laundry - make up for an early night's sleep!

And that was good, was because for the next two days again full program of: Coco (I've met at a work camp in Spain) and Chiemi came from Japan for a few days after Taipei. Would hardly have thought it possible that I see again the Coco would have got me so honestly on it.

On Tuesday after work so I'm only just home to get changed and then the quickest way to our meeting place MRT Taipei City Hall in order to drive up as possible by daylight on the Taipei 101 . Was, unfortunately, but not completely, it is simply too early dark in Taiwan.

The Coco (nickname for Kozue) is:
Then we went to the elevator to the 89th Stock:
my two Bunnies: Chiemi (left) and Coco (re) jaja, wrong direction!
Japanese girls posing, too much as we know :-) I assume that this is the Danshui River 淡水河, ie looking towards the west

north view with基隆河 the Keelung River and the Miramar Ferris Wheel: and once relative degree to bottom:

Then we found out that one foot still in the 91st Stock can go where you can enjoy a view without a window. Wind, of course, including: And get a good impression of the haze over Taipei:
On this floor you can admire the arm-thick steel cables that hold the 660 tonne heavy "vibration" of the building to protect against vibrations especially in the frequent earthquakes and typhoons.
short to Taipei 101 : Dedicated to New Year's Eve 2004, he was until 2007 the tallest building in the world and ends up with its 509 m height and 101 floors today still on the second Place worldwide. The building, contrary to the first View but also with a tradition: first, the tower resembles the shape of a Chinese pagoda and was designed according to feng shui guidelines. The number 8 is repeated as a lucky number according to Chinese beliefs also frequently, for example, the main tower of 8 sections for each 8 floors. The tower is also inspired by a bamboo, which also symbolizes growth and learning. And not least, the difference on each side attached oversized Chinese lucky coins protected from bad businesses.

Then we went back "a few" floors down, where one finds Taiwan's largest shopping center. Among other stands in the tower, an Austrian coffee:

The 101 (in Chinese read: i-ling-i) from the floor:

before 101:

Next, we took the MRT to the Longshan Temple 龙 山寺, from where it directly on the 华西 夜市 Huaxi Night Market comes with the infamous Snake Alley . There we met up with Yi-Chiun and Irene, which helped us order the food. So I told me Coco and Chiemi a menu:

snake soup 3 pieces of meat, the rest was because rumkullert in there and swim is Chinese Medicine:

to 3 "drinks": = white snake venom , green = snake bile , red = snake blood + a few Pillchen healthy for the man :-)

came after some hesitation, first turn the soup:

Then snake blood for rinsing - the capsules they were kind enough to me:
Galle: the Gift came last (came to us more appropriate before * g *) - here are two pictures where the before-after-effect comes across well:

All in all, the meat and the three shot glasses tasted neither good nor bad. The meat just has really many disturbing bone (or bones as in fish), but the taste was mainly from the Chinese medicine (中药 zhong yao) dominates. In addition, some Taiwanese, it costs the motivation to eat snake, and many eat it simply because it supposedly helps for clean, healthy skin (not particularly helped ...).

immigrated after this unique experience, we something through the night market. And as the snake menu's not very filling was, we treated ourselves to yet another Taiwanese specialty 甜不辣 Tianbula = sweet not spicy

the end we still went with MRI to the local "Brass Monkey", where random that day was a Salsa Night. What I found quite funny were all the deaf people who waved around wildly in front of the entrance with their hands (also called sign language). Basic course, the "Deaflympics" was. Were in any event there is still some fun and even tried Coco and Chiemi times in the Salsa:

[Video follows at some point ...]

Then came the turn of the professionals: Yi-Chiun and Irene, and I was really surprised how the plan had:

On Wednesday said rumbiegen first time 8 hours in the office and then I had identified with "my girls", Irene, and Yi-Chiun and Aaron and Steven that we are at the MRT station from Shilin Night Market take. However, since all (except me :-)) were running late, I used the time a photo of the MRT station 剑 潭 Jiantan (for the Night Market) to do with two high School Students in a typical Taiwanese school uniform:

Finally, we found it all together and began the search for food - at night markets can literally find the best selection of Taiwanese specialties in a small space. Among other gabs "Stinky Tofu" - had indeed himself been the experience needed and for me it should remain at a time, but Coco seemed to taste: speak to me gave it to the most smallest citizens of the world, a handful of burgers. And strengthened as always of course in Taiwan in hamburger buns sweetened :-(

then we drove down towards Neo19, where we waited for Yi-Chiun and Irene to come back, had to advance again briefly home.
Then when we were complete again, we went to "Babe 18" to celebrate the last night before the departure of Coco and Chiemi Moreover

flew Thursday afternoon Unfortunately, the two already going home. I'm really totally happy that they were there and as expected it really fun. Coco is still just as I got to know them and Chiemi is just as funny on it. Well, I went anyway catch up again early to bed sleeping and took it to a full 12 hours.
On Friday
met after work I met Aaron and his girlfriend know, Steven, and still a friend of Aaron in "Duck Bill", a bar for darts games. At 4:00 we went on a night snack and then away.

On Saturday we had originally planned to go to 八仙 Baxian in a Water Park, but the plan was canceled for fear of the swine flu * pff *. Well have, but at night something made to education: a trip to 国立 故宫 博物院 National Palace Museum Shilin 士林 in the district.
was very conveniently from 17:00 even free admission:
Inside one must of course take pictures again. In any case it houses the world's largest collection of Chinese art works from more than 5000 years of history, brought to Taiwan during the Revolution. China has therefore also entitled to the art treasures, but will probably never succeed.

choir performance at the museum:
In front of the museum including a park and other buildings such as library, restaurant, etc. This is a statue of Confucius:

The Musem is the way how one sees on a slope and all around there are lots of greenery and forests and mountains ".

When it was dark all right, I went back by bus to the night market where I got to eat me or something.
Shortly after 23:00 I phoned Yi-Chiun, that we were still in the KTV, so I took the last MRI shortly before midnight, not to have to take a taxi. Then I waited a while, however, because as I learned, were the first against the others at 1:20. Well, I waited stop at the KTV, there's always something to see there anyway * g *.

Later came along with two friends:

remained well supplied with food and drink there, we then until about 6:00. Below you see an after-photo * g *, but it was not ours:

On the way into the home of the MRI did I go on to the friendly encounter with an over-giving cat then we went to bed when the sun shines.

On Sunday after a productive sleep now, I went to Carrefour a few things and immediately afterwards I met up with Flora, a Paraguayanerin that I had met in Tainan and the this term had changed to Taipei to study. With her I was still a bit on the Night Market and later in a bar in the 双城 街 Shuangcheng-Jie where there should be some nice bars, according to travel guide. The selection was modest and empty it was everywhere, was much lighter because no one goes away on Sunday ...

Was certainly a nice evening and I was again ready for another week in Taipei.
