first Week of voluntary work:
The first week in Taiwan I was really busy anyway, I settle back here and get used to normal life. Also fell before at a few things, like answering e-mails, apply for scholarships for training, doing the laundry and around the town and and and ...
Wednesday came a pleasant surprise: Yi-Chiun - a college friend of the Chinese language course in Linz - signed up on Facebook, that he also grad in Taipei, and so to speak, was in the neighborhood. Since I already knew no one in Taipei, which was ideal and we set for Friday in the same meet.
On Thursday I was Martin - accompany the evening to an official event - my new colleagues. The opportunity I had of course not escape me. It related to an event organized by the Bavarian Tourism in cooperation with the Tyrolean Tourist Office, where a lot of other important people invited from the business were. Was certainly an interesting evening and food and wine was free :-)
On Friday Then I hooked up as arranged by Yi-Chiun and his Taiwanese friend Irene to dinner at an Australian restaurant, where he still like me some other friends introduced. Then we went to a movie, "Inglorious Basterds" look - a really good film with top cast and a lot of German * lol * - and then we looked more at a bar near the Taipei 101 and ended up in the Roxy Roots ".

They are Yi-Chiun (NC) and Irene (TW):
Michelle (TW) and Anderson (TW):
There, I learned it the first Taiwanese drinking games to know - should be as out of place later, it is like a very nice selection, not to compare with the puny (I know) selection in Austria.
Friday was only the warm-up for Saturday . Had the 1 Part of the day mainly used to sleep late and all day really done anything worth mentioning. In the evening we met at Taipei 101, where it is directly underneath a currently are very trendy club. Until they were all together but it took some time before, so we strengthened ourselves beforehand with a ready meal from 7 / 11. That was the assembled troops:
However, the entrance there was a little expensive, so we decided to for the "Babe 18", another club nearby. Against all binge-drinking "stories I find the system here the way, very convenient - you pay around 500 NT admission and can drink as much and want.
During the evening we came to a funny story even for free to a private VIP room us.
At 3:00, however, was a curfew, so we departed for the remaining hours of the night in a still from the KTV karaoke.
Beer Pong - to "enjoy" not a very good kind of beer:
Sometime in the morning (but still went before the MRI again) finally went home, where I made a fatal mistake: I forgot to before going to sleep the air conditioner on. Conclusion: Total sweaty at 32 ° C room temperature again woken up.
The Sunday was then relatively unspectacular. The only thing worth mentioning was probably my trip to the nearby Shilin Night Market 士林 夜市, the largest in Taipei and throughout Taiwan. And that is really recommended and the other night markets where I was until now, absolutely no comparison. 'll Gaze over there more often.
