beginning of the week we started the morning by bus from KL to Melaka, a small town located conveniently on the way to Singapore. In the early afternoon we arrived there and made another round in the area. Actually want the Chinese gaze Temple, who was not far from our hostel, but he was then still relatively insignificant and would not respond to any Taiwanese or Chinese city map mention is likely. But the main thing the horse fake flowers will be sacrificed for food.
Then we tried the "famous" Malacca Strait, the strait between Malaysia and the Indonesian island of Sumatra. But the sea and the "beach" there was so ugly and dirty, that I trust because no photos online * g *. set Here is a photo in the other direction, towards the city:
took Otherwise, not much to see more on the way home, the best there was the roof terrace:
On Tuesday we rented a Chinese merchants from two bikes, as Melaka in size anyway is pretty straightforward. First we went to the "Eye of Malaysia" to get an overview on the Ferris wheel. It started already pretty strange, because for the first time we were the only guests far and wide, so there was really more staff than visitors (our 2 levels). And then we sat in the cabin and left us in a rush five laps, that hardly met with photographing and go! Predicate: not recommended * * lol!
wandered After this bad investment, we work with our wheels a little across town, with stops at a few mosques, a Chinese temple and cemetery, a monument until we finally arrived at the Villa Sentosa, the so-called "Living Museum":
is in principle simply an inhabited, Malaysian house with all kinds of antiques, photos with celebrities and old furniture.
This is the hostess and say "museum" guide:
Finally, it is tradition to beat the gong three times, which should bring a happiness.
Then we went on to two Chinese temples in Chinatown:
... and further at a Hindu temple:
last stop of our trip was the hilltop St. Paul's Church:
... with beautiful views of Melaka:
The next day was again the day of departure. First, we strengthened us at a breakfast: warm milk carrots (Which sounds odd but tastes really yummy):
... and to such a pita bread - and Roti mentioned:
Oh and finally * Again, a photo of the toilet, is yes, sometimes, a glimpse into the local culture g *. One remark: no toilet paper, but this little shower head to rinse * cough *:
Then we went on an adventurous search for the non-marked Bus stop, where to go to unknown time from an unknown direction, a bus to the bus station. Once there, we directly took the next bus to Singapore. And bus tours are really extremly cheap in Malaysia, we do not even think ridiculous 14 Ringit (about 2.80 euros) for 4 hours by bus paid.
Well, that Malaysia was then behind me. Was somehow totally different from Thailand before, and also my first time in an Islamic country. In some places I could also get both a glimpse into Indian culture. Malaysia's very multicultural, can be found here Chinese, Malays, Indians and so are all major religions. What is still to come is that you can live really cheap and good rumreisen. However, would be for (possibly) next time the traditional east coast interesting, or Penang and the islands on the west coast. There'd been something ago.
