18th and 19 July
weekend:
From Friday to Saturday it had again poured properly, so it seemed as if we still could not drive out of the village since the bridge was to happen last time a bit problematic. Thank God the water level fell relatively fast again and so we finally made it to Chiang Rai, where we spent our weekend off.
To us had made some suggestions about what we could see in Chiang Rai, and brought us to the pickup to all these places. First stop was at a famous white temple "Wat Rong Khun" with mirror tiles, a real work of art.
Then we drove off to a waterfall in the jungle, where a few of us even went into the water. But it was really difficult to go really close to the waterfall because it splashed and the wind blew. But then showed us To go up a path through the noise behind the waterfall on your rock from which we had to jump through the water masses in the pond. It was really an impressive experience.
Then it started to rain again, what the open-air ride in the pickup was a little more interesting.
direct from there we drove to one of the famous Thai long boats on the river at a Hot Spring, where we have a warm, enjoyed for eggs stinking bathroom.
Relaxt then we went back again Chiang Rai, where we ate at the night bazaar in the evening and drank. Later joined by yet to be a friend of To, who introduced himself as Tiki.
celebrated together and then we drank until early morning at 4:00 and really had fun.
Sunday morning (or midday) we had to check out. However, most of us too tired to explore the great city. So we went to eat comfortably, Internet surfing, enjoying the sunny day and as a crowning moment Thats has a Thai massage. The only problem was that we meet at 16:00 am have had to go back to the village and relatively late for the massage went. Therefore we said extra that we had only 50 minutes time. But apparently my masseuse left behind by time, and it was only the left half of my body massaged (or maltreated and off and set right.) Nevertheless was a very fun experience and hopefully not the last, most of all I had to get some real laughter , if they resist again my legs bent into impossible directions or cracked my toes. Later we drove
To back to the village where it began to rain on the way to again (like the Teenage every time we sit in the car). And as if the oncoming branches and leaves of the trees beside the road were not enough, was finally washed away the bridge into the village. So we had to wade through the flow and the second ford we had the same car can ever be there and cover the rest of the way to the village on foot.
Then There Were only dinner and off to bed. It was certainly a great weekend, just as I was happy but also again at the tasks ahead in the 2nd Week.
